Creative Representation is looking for a Manager’s Assistant in Sydney.

We are looking for a Manager’s Assistant in our Sydney office, to assist our Sydney based Managers, this is a role primed for someone who thinks that they could be an artist manager one day.

Creative Representation represents actors, writers and directors working in film, television, theatre, voice-over & corporate video as well as radio personalities and presenters including Leah Purcell, Adam Briggs, Eddie Perfect, Samuel Johnson, Rebel Wilson and The Kates.

This won’t be your first job; you will have had a few years of work experience. You will be motivated and smart and while you don’t need to have worked  in show business you will need to be able to show us that you are passionate about the entertainment industry. We will want you to be out and about and seeing shows, particularly comedy and theatre, feeding back intel to the rest of the team.

You need to be super organised, confident enough to stand up for an artist and able to deal with volume while still maintaining a keen eye for detail. We will teach you the ropes, but you need to be open to learning and keen to stretch yourself – you will need to get your head around everything from TV Call Sheets and contracts to press calls and booking travel.

In your application tell us what you have seen recently and where you love to go and see shows, tell us about your passion for show business and any bits and pieces you have gotten up to that feel relevant. A cut and paste cover letter won’t do it for this role.

Skills – you need to be organised and have worked in an office environment before, you need to be able to write confidently and have critical skills. You will need to be a confident communicator, but you don’t need to be loud – a quiet confidence will work just fine. You probably have a university degree, but we are probably not fussed what it was in – it could be a business or law degree, or it could be arts.

Most of all you need to be passionate about working behind the scenes to support creative people.

Applications close Friday 20 February. Please apply via Seek with a resume and cover letter.
