Colin Lane is a legend of Australian comedy. A professional show-off for more than 30 years Colin continues to entertain audiences around the world with his charming, hilarious and thought-provoking comedic performances – on stage and on screen.

Colin first discovered the magic and mischief to be had in making audiences laugh through theatre sports as an undergrad and went on to hone his comedic storytelling and acting as part of a trio called Found Objects and on ABC TV’s The Big Gig. Since then, Colin has performed in theatres, cabarets and festivals across numerous countries, sometimes with comedic partners in crime like longtime collaborator Frank Woodley or David Collins from The Umbilical Brothers, sometimes in his own solo-shows, and most recently with acclaimed tenor David Hobson.

As one half of the the highly lauded and beloved comedy duo Lano & Woodley Colin Lane has toured hundreds of sold-out live shows domestically and internationally, co-created and starred in TV shows; The Adventures of Lano & Woodley, Lano & Woodley: The Island, Lano & Woodley: Goodbye;  released an ARIA-award winning album Lano & Woodley Sing Songs and a novel, Housemeeting. They’ve also taken home some the world’s most prestigious comedy Awards from the Moosehead Award and the Helpmann Award (Melbourne International Comedy Festival) to the Perrier Comedy Award (Edinburgh Fringe).

Colin Lane is currently starring in a hilarious musical theatre cabaret opera IN-TAILS he has co-written with Australian tenor legend David Hobson. For full ticket and touring information visit https://www.davidhobsonandcolinlane.com/

Colin’s previous theatre credits include DON’S PARTY (Sydney Theatre Company, Melbourne Theatre Company); THE MIKADO (Essgee Productions); EXTINCTION (Red Stich Actors Theatre); CURTAINS (The Production Company).

Colin’s screen credits include roles in popular TV series such as Judith Lucy’s Spiritual Journey, Kath & Kim, Fisk, The Doctor Blake Mysteries, Neighbors, Utopia, as well as the films The Extra and White Lines. And he has appeared on a plethora of other TV programs; as a panelist on Good News Week, Studio 10, Spicks & Specks, and The Project; a guest on Celebrity Name Game, Postcards, The Chase, True Story with Hamish & Andy, The Weekly with Charlie Pickering, Statesmen of Comedy and QI with Stephen Fry and Sandi Toksvig in the UK; and most recently as a celebrity judge on Thank God You’re Here!

Colin has also hosted hosted a bunch of non-scripted TV shows including Ready, Steady Cook; The Circle; and Kings of Comedy, as well as the Afternoon show for ABC Melbourne radio.
