Celia Pacquola and her professional dance partner Jarryd Byrne (aka #TeamGiggles) have won Dancing With The Stars Australia 2020.

The star of Rosehaven and Utopia, whose comedy special All Talk has just been released on Amazon, had just one word to say about participating: “Whoops.” But there was nothing accidental about the hard work and talent that resulted in Celia taking home the coveted mirror ball trophy.

Audiences were captivated watching the emotional and physical effort being put in to each performance, and of course the promise from Celia to do the splits live on television if she won the Grand Finale. Celia competed in the final alongside Ed Kavalee, Christian Wilkins and Claudia Karvan. And yes – beautifully completed the splits when the results were revealed!

Whilst winning the title was a huge accomplishment, it also meant that Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre, Victoria’s first response service for women and children experiencing family violence, received a donation of $50,000.
