Following her ground-breaking special Nanette, which debuted on Netflix in June last year to global acclaim, it has been announced that Netflix will release Hannah Gadsby’s new show Douglas next year.

“I’m so excited to announce today that Douglas will be released on Netflix in 2020,” said Gadsby said, speaking at Netflix’s FYSEE event. “I’m really enjoying touring with the live performance, but there will be places in the world that I won’t be able to visit, so it’s wonderful that Netflix will bring the show to every corner of the globe.”

Douglas premiered at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in March, and is currently touring around America before Gadsby returns to Australia for shows in Sydney, Hobart, Canberra and an encore performance in Melbourne in December. You can view the tour details here.
