Hannah Gadsby’s self-described swan song, triumphed last night at the 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, taking out the Barry Award for Best Show. Announced at the traditional late-night ceremony at The Festival Club, Gadsby’s show Nanette edged out fellow nominees Damien Power’s Utopia: Now In 3D!, Anne Edmonds’ No Offence, None Taken, Tom Walker’s Bee Boo, Richard Gadd’s Monkey See, Monkey Do and Sammy J’s Hero Complex.
