After consistently selling out shows, Danielle Walker has been nominated for Best Newcomer at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival with her debut solo hour, Bush Rat.

Danielle’s Best Newcomer nomination comes after winning RAW Comedy in 2016 and being hand-picked to appear in The Comedy Zone in 2017 firmly cementing her as one of the freshest new voices in the Australian comedy scene.

Previous Best Newcomer winners have included the likes of Tom Ballard, Josh Thomas and Cal Wilson.

Rounding out the 2018 nominations are Paul Williams, Steph Tisdell, Lewis Garnham, Garry Star and Nadia Collins.

The winner will be announced next Saturday 21 April. Congratulations to all nominees!
